locus athens is hosting a conversation on performance, in correlation to other creative practices, such as contemporary theatre, dance, visuals arts and architecture: our physical bodies as a meeting point for all the arts. Invited speakers will be the actor Akyllas Karazisis, choreographer Apostolia Papadamaki, visual artist Leda Papakonstantinou and the architectural researchers, Urban Void. The conversation will be coordinated by architect Yiorgos Tzirtzilakis. The conversation aims to develop a dialogue between interrelated means and media of expression born from personal experience, activistic and agonistic intentions, gender problematics and theoretical research. Bodies as political agents over the last years have an increasingly important social impact. Most cultural practitioners start with a framework which they then continue to undermine. Bodies interact with time, the material, immaterial, feeling out the difference between participants, participation and audience. The discussion hopes further to explore different fields of understanding, as well as the thin line that connects performers with their audience. Following the presentation, the conversation will open up to all those present.
